User Management
Zylio's User Management module allows administrators to control platform access, assign roles, and manage user accounts. This section provides tools for inviting new users, modifying existing accounts, and managing your own profile, ensuring proper access control across the platform.
User Dashboard Overview
The User Management dashboard displays:
- A list of all users with their status
- User roles and departmental assignments
- Tools for inviting and managing users
Viewing Users
The main Users view presents a table with the following information:
- Status: Active or Inactive
- First Name: User's first name
- Last Name: User's last name
- Email: User's email address
- Department: Assigned department (if any)
- Roles: User's assigned role (Administrator, Standard)
- Actions: Options to modify user settings
Inviting a New User
To invite a new user to the Zylio platform:
- Navigate to the Users section from the left navigation menu
- Click the blue "+ Invite a user" button in the top-right corner
- Complete the user invitation form with the following information:
- First name
- Last name
- Email address
- Department (optional)
- Role assignment (Administrator, Standard)
- Additional access permissions
- Click "Send Invitation" to send the invitation email
The new user will receive an email invitation with instructions to complete their registration and set up their account password.
Modifying User Information
To edit an existing user's details:
- Navigate to the Users section
- Find the user you wish to modify in the list
- Click the vertical ellipsis (⋮) in the far-right actions column
- Select "Edit" from the dropdown menu
- Update the necessary information, such as:
- Department assignment
- Role permissions
- Contact information
- Click "Save" to confirm your changes
Managing User Status
You can activate or deactivate users as needed:
- Navigate to the Users section
- Find the user you wish to modify
- Click the vertical ellipsis (⋮) in the actions column
- Select "Change Status"
- Toggle between "Active" and "Inactive" as needed
Active users (displayed with green status indicators) have access to the platform, while inactive users (red indicators) cannot log in but their accounts are retained in the system.
Role Assignment
Zylio offers different user roles to control access levels:
- Administrator: Full system access with ability to manage users, services, suppliers, and locations
- Standard: Limited access based on assigned permissions
To assign or change a user's role:
- Navigate to the Users section
- Click the ellipsis (⋮) next to the user
- Select "Edit"
- Modify the role assignment
- Click "Save"
Departmental Assignment
Users can be assigned to specific departments to better organize your team:
- Marketing
- Service Achat (Procurement)
- Unassigned
Accessing Your User Profile
To view and manage your own user profile:
- Look for the Profile option in the left navigation sidebar (near the bottom)
- Click on Profile to access your personal settings
- From here you can:
- Update your contact information
- Change your password
- Modify notification preferences
- Customize your dashboard view
- Update your profile picture
Logging Out
To securely log out of the Zylio platform:
- Click the Logout button at the bottom of the left navigation sidebar
- This will end your session and return you to the login screen
Tips for Effective User Management
- Regularly review inactive users and remove accounts that are no longer needed
- Assign roles based on the principle of least privilege (users should have only the permissions necessary for their job)
- Use departmental assignments to organize users for better workflow management
- Ensure administrators periodically change their passwords for security
- Review user activity logs to monitor platform usage
